Paci bye-bye

First things first... Owen has given his paci away! It is bye-bye. He helped me wrap it up. He addressed it "To baby, love Owen" and we walked out to the mailbox for the mailman to take it away for a baby who needs it. The first nap was rough as he sat by the window sobbing "no mailman... paci back." He hasn't done bad since though.

Here he is playing with his new special big boy toy that he picked out all by himself.

Today was Reid's baptism. We had a fabulous day with wonderful family. Thank you all for celebrating with us!

A Busy Month

We have been busyaround here. We visited The Children's Museum. Owen got to play with his good buddy and they had a blast!

Reid is actually almost 2 months old but I'm a little behind. He weighs 12 pounds now and is very alert and becoming more interactive by the day!

We sure miss the warm weather that we had just a few weeks ago.

Snow

Owen has been helping shovel the snow. He even insists that his shovel hang in the garage by daddy's. He did take a face dive into the snow but was relatively unfazed. He also got to do a little sledding and LOVED it!
Reid has been spending longer amounts of time on his tummy. He actually rolled from tummy to back the other night. I thought it was a fluke but he did it a second time! He is very strong and actually has very good head control for being only 4 weeks old.

Lately

 Owen was very proud of himself for getting his coat, hat, and shoes on by himself... they were all Zoe's :)

 Zoe is quite the baby hog... she loves Reid and does a very good job holding him!

 Owen has officially been introduced to licking the beaters...

 Reid napping in his crib. He's not the greatest napper. He is actually awake most of the day unless he is being held. He is a super sleeper at night, however. We put him to bed after his 10:30 feeding and he usually wakes to eat around 5am. We are LUCKY!

Reid had his 2 week check-up. At 17 days old, he is over a pound above his birth weight! He now weighs 9.5lbs and is 21.5in long. He is out of newborn diapers. He still wears newborn clothes, but some 3-month clothes as well. Owen has adjusted well to having Reid home. We only had one instance where he tried to ride him like a horse during tummy time!

Pictures

We took the boys to Flash for some newborn, 2year, and family pictures. The boys did awesome! We got a few really good pictures.

 We have also been enjoying the nice warm weather and getting outside. Owen insists on baby Reid coming out too. Fresh air in January... I think so!

Our new life

Life has changed around here. We have all adjusted quite well though. Owen loves his brother and constantly wants to hug him and give him things. He has become quite the helper! Reid is doing very well... A great sleeper and eater. We are a very happy family of 4!
