Owen is officially 3 months old (and a little more). He is 25in long and 14.6lbs. He is so much more alert lately. He sleeps 10 hours every night and is awake much more throughout the day! He even stays awake during walks...i.e: reason for sunglasses. Plus, they look cool.
Owen sits up much better too. His head control is getting better and we've been working on core muscles. We like to do Baby Circuit Training: a little Bumbo, then Jumparoo, and on to Tummy Time. The bat was a gift from some family friends...it is great. We love it!

Our Last Day

Sunny Day
With this beautiful weather, we have gotten outside for some walks the past few days. Owen gets snuggled-in and we head out. He usually sleeps the whole time, but I know that he likes the fresh air.
Head control has had HUGE improvement. He still refuses to lift his head on his tummy though! I guess that's the price we pay for him being so content! Bathtime is much more enjoyable now. He is quickly outgrowing his baby tub though. He better learn how to sit up soon! He loves songs in the tub. His favorites are Rubber Ducky; Splish Splash; and This Little Piggy (while washing his feet of course!) And finally, a shoutout to daddy's co-workers. Daddy is home Friday...partly for the NCAA tournament, but partly to spend the day with Owen!

Crabby
Owen got this new shirt from his Aunt Jen last night and he LOVES it!
We got outside yesterday and went for a walk to the grocery store. He slept the whole time but enjoyed the fresh air.
He started to "jump" in his Jumparoo today. He seemed to be more interested in his hands than the flashing lights and music!
Out of curiosity I jumped on the scale with him tonight and he is 14.6lbs. He measured 25.5in on our living room floor. He will have his 3 month pics this Saturday...so excited!

what we've been up to
Owen learned how to suck his fingers just a few days ago. He only does it while on his tummy, but really goes to town on that hand (left only)! His entire face turns into a slobbery mess!
Nakie boy while trying to get fun spring picture...you'll see that later!
Lunch date at the Olive Garden with Caleigh Lewis (8 weeks old) and Averi Nielsen (2 years). Owen (10 weeks).
Smiley boy.
He is playing with his toy. Notice he managed to get his arm through one of the rings. Not sure how that happened since it was sitting on the floor next to him!
Owen and I went outside to enjoy some of the spring weather. He was nice a cozy, as you can see, and doing just fine until a big gust of wind took his breath away and he started this! We came inside.

Giant Baby
Ok, Owen is not really a giant baby. I put him into the baby carrier for play babies...Pretty funny, but I may also be the meanest mom ever. He didn't mind though.
After all that "playing" Owen helped with some laundry and actually turned out to not be much help at all! Here are some more pictures of my chunker. Happy Weekend!!!

what a weekend
This weekend was a busy one. Owen turned 2 months old on Friday. We had a little photo shoot at our house. Here are my favorites.Saturday Owen had his first "real" babysitter. We even stayed out until 11pm!! (I know, but it seemed very late to me!) Owen slept awesome though and didn't get up to eat until 6:30. I don't know how she did it but, THANKS JESS!!!! Yes, I did take her picture...pretty sure I got the crazy stamp.Sunday my co-workers threw a shower for Owen. He got some new clothes for this fall and a couple fun summer toys as well. It was great to see everyone. Only 3 weeks of maternity leave left. Its going fast, but I'm getting ready to get back to work. I just wish it wasn't 12 hour days (almost 14 hours away from home each day).
