Genius

Owen loves books. His most recent favorite seems to be Brown Bear. We read it morning, noon, and night. In between, he reads it to himself!

9 months

Our friend Ella came to play last Friday! The kids had a lot of fun together. Ella is just 2 months older than O and it was fun to see how much O will be moving in a few months! She was Wonderful and can come back ANYTIME!!!We went to the Raider home game last Friday as well. Owen scored a tootsie roll at the entrance and kept a pretty tight grip. He enjoyed small bites as well.O has finally started to really move. He goes from sitting to tummy to all 4s to crawling backwards and back to sitting. Now if he could just go forward. He scoots everywhere on his butt and has started to attempt to pull himself up. He can get one foot on the ground but not quite all the way up yet. Soon I'm sure.He perfers to stand at all times now. In other news: Owen has 2 more new teeth on the top which brings the total to 6!!! Jeepers, might as well just get him a steak! They are not all the way through yet, but are visible and palpable.Happy Fall

O has got a pretty good arm on him and loves playing catch. He throws everything, but his ball is his favorite!

He's getting mobile

Owen is a super roller! He rolls everywhere, like a log. He also scoots backwards. He can get himself pretty much anywhere he wants to get.

He got himself under his jumparoo then out and found his diaper bag and pulled it into the middle of the dinning room. I just watched and took pictures.

He also got into the diaper basket. Again, I just stood and took pictures. He knee walks and scoots on his butt too. It's actually pretty funny to watch him get around.

He can get onto 1 knee but that other foot just gets stuck underneath his belly, but he eventually gets it out and then starts all over again. I'm sure its only a matter a few weeks until he's crawling. Yes, that is snot coming from his nose. Sorry. He was working really hard and the picture was more important to me than wiping his nose!

What's new

Last Friday Owen went to his first Raider football game. He enjoyed being outside, but it got pretty cold. He had a good time playing with his friend Brady too. They are just a couple weeks apart.

Nana has really been pushing O to crawl lately. Owen is getting better about rocking on his knees, but is much faster at rolling and spinning to get what he wants. He's bound to figure out the crawling thing soon enough.Here is a recent video of O moving. Keith says that he first pushed his toy basket to the other side of the living room and then found his chair, which he pulled over, but then his piano got stuck under the chair and finally he just gave up and decided to chew on the chair. And he LOVES being naked!

New

Owen wants to crawl SO badly. He pushes way up on his hands and gets one knee up toward his tummy. He spins in circles like crazy, scoots himself backwards, and rolls to get where he wants to go. He will also rock if we put him up on all 4s. He does this a lot too. We call it swimming. He lifts up his arms and legs and flaps/kicks like crazy... pretty funny stuff!He eats pretty much everything and his 4th tooth if poking through up top.He sleeps on his tummy now. Generally he will move himself all around in his crib (rolling and spinning) until he gets sideways and on his belly, bury his hear in the mattress, and fall asleep.Tummy sleeping does create some awful bedhead: (plus he's just a sweaty kid)That is all bedhead. His head isn't really an odd shape!
